Today, I went on a company visit to BayanTel in Queszon City.
What I learned?
They use different hardware to network their clients and this different hardware requires different NMS or Network Management System.
Their company is concentrated in southern parts of the Philippines such us some parts of Visayas and greater Mindanao.
What I liked?
The venue of the discussion is in a very nice conference room. They showed us their Network Operations Center with working people. The speaker was nice.
What I didn’t like?
The speaker was not very familiar with IT. And the topic was about switching of calls and networking telephone lines. We were not familiar with the topic and it was not that interesting.
